This tour will take you to discover some of the most sacred places in Portugal.

Exiting from your hotel in Lisbon area, we will take you to meet the well-known St. Anthony of Padua, who actually was born in Lisbon. Nearby the Lisbon Cathedral is the Saint Anthony Church, built exactly on the spot where once existed the house where the saint was born. You will then have the opportunity to hear about the life of the popular patron saint of Lisbon who is also one of the most famous saints in the world.

Our next destination is Santarém, the capital city of Gothic style in Portugal. We will visit the beautiful gothic Church of Graça (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), where one can see the gravestone of Pedro Álvares Cabral and pay homage to this great navigator who discovered Brazil in 1500. Not far away is the Church of the Holy Miracle, which houses in a silver guilt monstrance the Miraculous Host where during a miracle in the 13th century, the Holy Blood of Christ was seen.

We then continue to our final and most-awaited destination: Fátima. After having lunch at one of the local restaurants, it is now time for a visit to the Sanctuary, one of the most famous pilgrimage shrines in the world. It was here that in 1917 Our Lady appeared six times to three young shepherds called Lúcia, Jacinta and Francisco. After a visit to the Basilica, free time for personal prayers in the Sanctuary or to visit the Chapel of the Apparitions. At the end of the tour, a visit to the houses of the Three Shephers, in Valinhos.
